Ce magnifique tapis Soumak est une pièce unique, entièrement tissée à la main en 100 % laine. Son décor raffiné, composé de motifs géométriques répétés et d'une large bordure ornementale, témoigne du savoir-faire ancestral des artisans. Ses teintes naturelles de rouge profond, bleu gris, ivoire et brun lui permettent de s'intégrer aussi bien dans un intérieur contemporain que dans une décoration plus traditionnelle.
Le Soumak est une technique de tissage ancestrale originaire du Caucase et d'Iran. Contrairement aux tapis noués, les fils de trame sont enroulés autour des fils de chaîne avant d'être tissés, créant une surface plate au léger relief. Cette méthode offre un tapis particulièrement résistant, souple et d'une grande finesse, tout en mettant en valeur la précision des dessins.
Le champ central présente un motif répétitif inspiré des anciens textiles nomades. Ces formes géométriques évoquent des épis de blé, des fleurs stylisées et des symboles de fertilité, représentant l'abondance, la prospérité et le lien avec la nature. La large bordure, composée de motifs anguleux entrelacés, symbolise quant à elle la protection et délimite harmonieusement l'espace central. L'ensemble crée une composition rythmée, élégante et intemporelle.

Details

Kilim-inspired rugs made from recycled textile fibers. In an effort to combat resource waste, we transform textile industry offcuts into recycled yarn, which serves as the base material for our rugs.

All our rugs are reversible and can be used on both sides. On each side, the dominant color is reversed.

Maintains

Our recycled textile fiber rugs are very easy to vacuum clean by vacuuming them from both sides to completely remove dust.

If there is a stain, you can clean them with lukewarm water using a sponge soaked in Marseille soap or a special wool detergent. You can also sprinkle with fuller's earth or use a mixture of water and bicarbonate.

From time to time, you can safely wash your rug in a standard washing machine at 30 degrees, on a gentle spin cycle. For larger sizes (200 x 300 cm), you should use a large capacity washing machine.

Delivery

Products are prepared and shipped within two days of ordering. Your rugs are shipped via GLS, UPS, DHL, or La Poste.

Delivery is free in mainland France and Belgium. Shipping costs are calculated for European countries (other than France and Belgium) and the rest of the world. You can choose a delivery method to your address or to a collection point.

Delivery time: 3 to 5 days within the European Union. 8 to 10 days for the rest of the world.
